Lindsey Guile

Lindsey Guile is a body and fat-positive artist exploring concepts of self-image through the lens of contemporary feminist theory.  Lindsey’s practice embraces an intermedia approach that utilizes drawing, printmaking, and ceramics in her explorations into how body image affects self-worth. Her work has been exhibited at Untitled Space Gallery in Tribeca, The Williamsburg Art & Historical Center, Women’s Work Gallery,  and The Dorsky Museum of Art, among others. 

Lindsey is a Tenured Assistant Professor of Visual Art at Dutchess Community College where she teaches Drawing, Figure Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, and Color Theory.  She is also the Director of the Mildred I. Washington Art Gallery.  Lindsey graduated from SUNY New Paltz with her MFA painting and drawing in 2014 and has a BFA and MA from SUNY Oswego. She currently resides in Poughkeepsie, NY.
